Saguna Baug is a beautiful, eco-friendly agricultural farm located at the foothills of Matheran, beautifully surrounded by the Ulhas River. Just 2 hours from Mumbai, Pune and Nashik this 60 Acres active farm is Established by Shri Harikaka Bhadsavle in the early 1960s He was a Gandhian freedom fighter, his dream was to build a thriving agricultural farm that would support his family, create local employment and serve as a role model for sustainable rural development.
Today, that dream flourishes under the care of his next generation, They live full-time on the farm and are deeply committed to its original vision and follow a moto “Dignity via farming”. Agro Tourism (कृषी-पर्यटन) – 1985

SRT (सगुणा रिजनरेटिव्ह तंत्र) – 2011
It is a conservation agriculture, No-till method of farming which does not cause atrocity of tillage, completely stops soil erosion, promotes natural production of earthworms, increases organic carbon of the soil, considerably increases productivity of the land and added effect of amazing happiness & confidence of the farmer.
SVT (सगुणा वनसंवर्धन तंत्र) – 2014
simple and effective technique to stop forest fires and to reproduce green perennial vegetation. Preventing forest fires and thus, restoring the natural vegetation, ultimately enhancing the water infiltration and aquifer recharging capacities is the basic tenant on which the SVT project is built upon.
SJT (सगुणा जलसंवर्धन तंत्र) – 2017
This technique is a comprehensive method aimed at addressing the challenges posed by invasive aquatic weeds, particularly water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) and water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes), which are known for their detrimental effects on aquatic ecosystems.
Aqua Agro-Tourism – 2001
A unique concept combining Aquaculture with Agro-Tourism was envisioned and implemented in 2001. The idea was to enhance the productivity of aquaculture ponds by introducing tourist accommodations alongside them. This not only offered guests a distinctive and immersive experience but also generated additional income from the same waterbody.

Mr. Chandan Bhadsavle, son of Mr. Chandrashekhar Hari Bhadsavle, pursued his education in Hospitality Management from Mumbai & Switzerland. He returned to his ancestral farm in 2006 (Saguna Baug), and has since taken charge of its operations. Under his leadership, the farm has grown remarkably in both reputation and service quality. His visionary approach and dedication to promoting Agro-tourism have played a pivotal role in elevating the farm’s image. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of Agro-tourism, he was honoured with the National Tourism Award in 2018.
